My Father, who has now retired back to trieate, used to catch chewing gum thrown over the wall by the soldiers. I once nurse an old gent who was one of the soldiers.

The reason why I ask is this... You can see ship's masts and crows nests. These appear far enough forward to be in the old Mandracchio Port and in line with the visible building (pallazo Strati?)

This card is, it appears, Piazza Volontari Giuliani. Ihave an identical card correctly printed. This one reads Piazza G Venezian. Is this correct. Does it refer to the portion of Viale XX September visible below the central building (ex navy)?
