You just have to select Google Images and then write in Search: source:LIFE ....

I am a bit puzzled with these latest results. I have knew of this LIFE & Google photo archive from about six months and on my very first 'search' the results were rather different. For instance, at that time I obtained very few photos from bathyscaphe Trieste, that now are almost predominant.
Many interesting 'street-scenes' have also disappeared and so the portraits of many political figures from these years.
I wonder why...

I wonder why...
Also, it seems to me that there is a limit of number of photos displayed, namely 200. In fact, if I use the advanced search and ask not to display the images with "launching" in the title, the search return again 200 results (with some extra new ones), but the numerous photos of the Launching of the bathyscaphe Trieste are not shown. I cannot find a way to display the rest of the Trieste archive...
One photo I saw a few weeks ago was showing a forensic officer from the Civilian Police weighting what appears to be several kilograms of white powder, likely heroin or cocaine, found during a raid.
PS. I asked not to show photos with "launching" and "1953". Again I got 200 photos with some very good new ones, including Vidali, Babic and other politicians. Also a photo with an hilarious PEPSI GRAZO FISH RESTAURANT legend. Clearly, it was our famous PEPI GRANZO....

I had some different answers too. Generally I find 10 pages, but once or twice... 12 pages opened.
Legends are quite strange. Look this one: "People sitting on section of street in Trieste area, with anti-Tito signs painted on walls.
Location: Yugoslavia"
I think it's San Giacomo church and I see written: "Cerini assassini" "W Tito" "We want Tito"! Anti-Tito? Where?

I've got it! There are many other pictures connected to those showed in the principal pages. I saved them all.

When you are on the main page, click on one photo. It becomes bigger and, on the left side, you can see other photos. Click on one, and you'll see different photos, always on left. Some are repeated several times.

To save them you have to right click every photo and save it on your pc, giving it a name. One by one.

Another important newspaper is available for free on the web, The New York Times.
The home page is http://spiderbites.nytimes.com/ and with a little patience it is possible to find out some news about Triest between 1851 and 2009

they write:
"Old Roman building that is now in the slum section, just below the San Guisto Castle.
Location: Trieste, Yugoslavia
Date taken: February 1952
